Dec 2, 2024 · Some of the race teams we sail with have them as support boats. They are extremely extremely buoyant! It's like sitting on a milk jug the way it bobs around. The landing craft ones are pretty sweet. They will put 10 teens in one of those and hot swap sailors during races, then run them to shore and let them all off the front to go eat lunch.

I have a hull that is twisted. The bow is higher on one side. I met with a rep from Sundance, the actual designer of the boat. He agreed, the hull is messed up. I hauled the boat to Georgia from South Florida. Wally then tells me that boats are not perfect and the hull is within design specs. Wally's solution, he made the cap thicker on one side.

Jan 16, 2017 · I have experience with both Awlcraft and Alexseal on boats that I have owned and would definitely go with properly applied Alexseal over Awlcraft. Especially on hard corners or edges, it is pretty easy to mess up Awlcraft from something as minor as having a three strand dockline rub against it for a couple of hours.

Incidentaly the top tier boats manufacturers like Carolina Classic and Albemarle have beaten VP up and typically get the engines replaced.
