Upon joining the new UPN network as an O&O and flagship station on January 16, 1995, WWOR-TV introduced a modernized version of its 1970-87 'dotted 9' logo. In 2001, BHC Communications, (including WWOR) was purchased by News Corporation's Fox Television Stations division.

WWOR accordingly changed its branding from "UPN 9" to "WWOR 9" (although the station was referred to on-air as simply "9"), and altered its logo to only feature the boxed "9" with a small red strip on the left side.

Originally, when the MyNetworkTV announcement was made, WWOR used a temporary logo for print advertisements and schedule slides featuring the My9 Logo with the "9" carried over from the original My9 and UPN9 logos.

Same as the last logo, but the word "News" is now done in uppercase rather than lowercase. This was the last branding used before WWOR-TV ended their traditional newscasts on July 2, 2013, in favor of a newsmagazine show...

WWOR-TV used the prototype of the stylized 9 during the period from 1966 to early 1973. It appeared in colour on some television programs since 1969. WOR-TV's famous 9 was created in August 31, 1968 by Mike Shenon & Richard Luppi.
