Vexx is a 3D platformer that takes place across a series of nine nonlinear open levels. A set of wraithhearts are hidden in each level, and the player must find where they are located and, in some cases, complete challenges to obtain them.

The design borrowed liberally from open-world platformers like Super Mario 64, but with tough competition from new franchises Rachet & Clank and Jak & Daxter, Vexx had a difficult time making a blip on the radar.

In the Neverglades, there’s a great setpiece where you have to run along multiple tapestries to reach a Wraithheart, and another challenge has you competing against Vexx clones in a Mario Party -esque minigame.
