Jul 4, 2023 · I’ve always liked the vx220 turbo and I am now thinking about either tuning the bug to around 400bhp with a bigger turbo or moving it on and going for a vx220, as up until now they haven’t been within budget. I can’t afford an equivalent Elise I think that ship has sailed. I suppose the questions I have are.

Oct 22, 2010 · Well my Vauxhall Sports Exhaust was changed for a full stainless Milltek system today. Gutted with how it sounds, but sadly has to be done. The VSE is apparently undrivably loud with the supercharger and also isn't a large enough bore. At least the car will now be track legal as well. Before and after videos below

May 15, 2019 · A VX220 Turbo is a viable alternative. 200+ bhp in effectively the same chassis but like the Elise they are heavy money (12k +). So, me being me looks for the cheapest possible elise/vx type car I can find. The unloved 2.2 NA VX220. 150bhp of finest custard skin pulling. 150bhp is lame these days with my daily (the Cupra) having twice that.
