Vacuum Wars does not like manual carpet height adjustment which I feel is necessary for the best cleaning of higher pile carpets. Vacuum Wars also does not score durability and repairability, which is why his methodology rates Dyson and Shark vacuums higher than I would.

Starting the video with “most of the cordless are underpowered garbage” well that sold me. And vacuum wars shouldn’t expect a check from the shark I ordered because it’s being returned.

Vacuum Advisor does tests/comparisons. Unfortunately, like Vacuum Wars, he pays little attention to things like maintenance and after-sale support and focuses mostly on big-box store brands. Vacuum Facts is complete trash. He has video after video extolling the virtues of Dyson vacuums and “evils” and “inferiority” of bagged vacuums.

Sep 3, 2023 · I'm happy that Vacuum Wars finally put out a review which I really agree with. I suggest you go watch it, it wasn't available when I bought the machine. The first issue I encountered was due to the fact that I moved all the furniture so that the robot could "see" all the walls, this was a mistake.

Oct 19, 2021 · ECOVACs app requires constant babysitting to make sure it doesn’t fuck up. It’s literally the opposite of what I want out of a robot vacuum. I generally don’t have to worry about my J7, it’s software is much more stable than the ecovacs

Oct 22, 2022 · In the torture tests, Vacuum Wars uses Ultra mode on a tiny (maybe 10 sqft), non-porous floor, so there's a lot of water to evaporate and not much time for it to do so before the robot has to make a pass over a previously mopped area. In practice, these situations should be rarer, especially if you use standard or eco mopping.
