The interior is kind of 'minimalist' as you can see: Oh, it's got one of these under the bonnet. ABF 2.0 16v, ported & polished head, four branch etc. Several rolling road graphs for between 180 and 200bhp - the car weighs 800kg... it goes!

Feb 16, 2009 · I have had my mk1 since feb this year. The main reason i bought it was because i wanted a track car after getting the track bug at the end of last year. I shared a car one of my mates had got as part of a trade in, it was an Escort RS Turbo which was pretty standard apart from being lowered and chipped to about 180bhp.

Nov 30, 2006 · I've got a MK1 GTI track car. I'm happy with the way it goes in straight lines but it needs some help in the handling department. Currently its got bilstein shocks and some Jamex springs, the rest is standard apart from some harder bushes (superpro) and some decent tyres (Yoko Advan A048R, 185/60 13s on the original 9-spoke alloys).
