At approximately 55,000 miles the manual transmission had to be replaced. I have a 2004 VW Cabrio..sooo many things are wrong with it. The top hydrolic fluid is empty, I am assuming a leak, and the Electrical system is buggy. Plus the seams on the back sides of the top are coming unglued, where the back window is on the outer edge.

It looks impossible to get the rear clip off-Clean the abs brake sensors, figure out where the abs pump fuses are and or where the bad solder joints are that cause abs pump errors in VCDS and abs mechanical and sensor errors - take off those stupid security vw wheel nuts. I broke the vw special socket since it is extremely fragile !

Real oil pressure problem - don't panic yet, it may be simple. Some people have reported that Fram and other non-VW oil filters cause higher pressure drops because of restrictive flow. Try a VW "Autobahn" oil filter. Also, I was running SAE 30 oil; try 20W50. Another common problem is the oil pressure relief valve may be sticky.

A pink VW Cabriolet with a stick is more manly than Cobra with slushbox. The 2002-2006 CR-V with a manual went 0-60 in 8 seconds which is not bad for an SUV, and really good for a 4 cylinder SUV that gets 30 mpg most of the time.
