Nov 13, 2012 · Just went to VP Racing Fuel Website and I looked at Q16, MR12, and MRX01. Looks like I would have to increase fuel flow if I use Q16 but it seems like it is a consistent fuel and it is 116 octane. MR12 has a octane of 87, does have 5% increase in power over M9 and 6% increase in power over MRX01.

Jun 22, 2015 · Get a kerosene type pump for $2 from Walmart. The kind with the red handle and valve on top. It works the best compared to the expensive ones to me. WHen you get to track, siphon all gas out and put into empty VP can. Start bike until it cuts off. SHould take less than 30 seconds. Add MR12 and start bike. Let idle until exhaust smell changes.

Feb 20, 2021 · Think of MR12 as highly oxgenated 93 pump. 16:1 static compression is high to run 93 octane. I've got a 1340 gen 1 that has a static compression of more than 17:1 that I have run C45 with. For giggles, I check the HP on my dyno running MR12. MR12 picked up 3 HP above C45 on the first pull.

Apr 8, 2010 · if I am runing strait vp u4.4 in it all the time can I run leaner like 12.7 a/f ratio and will it help? I have heard it both ways. some say 11.7-11.9 and some say 12.5-12.7. I guess I will keep leaning it to 12.5-12.7 and see what it does. runing about a 60hp shot and pulling 1 degree of timing in first and second. 2 degrees in 3-6th.

Nov 9, 2011 · it doesn't hurt to learn a little about octane ratings in general. pump gas is R+M/2 (RON+MON/2) rated, race fuel such as VP's MR12 is typically MON rated. if any of that goes over your head, research, research, research. VP has some nice literature on the topic in their FAQ section as well as wikipedia.
