May 18, 2021 · Hi all, I moved to a new place with my girlfriend and we set a budget of $450 for a Sofa. After some back and forth between IKEA and Wayfair, I shortlisted the UPPLAND sofa and drove to IKEA last night to try it. While in IKEA, I saw another sofa (Ektorp) which looks very similar and is almost the same price.

Dec 5, 2020 · Recently bought Uppland sofa and love seat after learning Ektorp was to be discontinued. Wanted the white covers but settled for the dark gray knowing white covers would eventually be available. Uppland sofa is comfortable for sitting and lying down. Love seat not long enough to stretch out unless you're a kid.

May 20, 2021 · The uppland looks like a similar fabric to what they offered on the Ektorp. The harlanda full cover cannot be removed unless you take the arms off (sofa) and take the sectional pieces apart. The Ektorp looks a bit nicer - mostly due to the overstuffed cushions.

Aug 10, 2022 · Hoping people can give some thoughts between these two. I'm looking at the 2-seat Vinliden sofa, or the 3 seat Uppland sofa. The price is comparable ($50 difference), so not a consideration. I like the more traditional look and feel of the Uppland, but the one they had in the showroom locally was pretty uncomfortable.

Aug 30, 2022 · I’ve been scouring the internet for weeks for the perfect couch imo. After much indecisiveness, I finally went to IKEA yesterday and fell in love with the feeling of the Uppland; the Kivik came in at #2. I like firm-plush couches, ones that feel like a very firm pillow that won’t soften over time. Unfortunately, the Uppland looks rather bleh.

Oct 4, 2020 · We took the plunge and bought an Uppland sofa -cover - 3 seat - to replace our Ektorp slipcover. The fabric is is not as heavy as the Ektorp and the fit is a little loose, but it is definitely better than shelling out $200+ for an on line custom order with a 6 …

Jun 18, 2021 · I have the Uppland and have found it comfortable. I nap on it more than I care to admit. I’m 5’8” and the seat height and depth are perfect for me. I can sit and read or watch tv on it for hours. The cover is also easy to remove and it washes up well. I tried the Kivik but I found the seat was too deep for me to sit back comfortably.
