Apparently it started happening after the kids pushed some keys on the keyboard. I have recenlty installed any new software.

Jul 17, 2018 · That works for DVDs, USB sticks and SD memory cards. An external HDD is not classed as 'removable media' so it does not have an eject option in File Explorer. A USB HDD can only be ejected from the taskbar icon.
