Nov 30, 2022 · With the results from our first baseline of our new FL5 Civic Type R, we decided to take the Type R back to our dyno to gather more data. We rose the octane to 93 octane and gathered the Air Fuel Ratio in stock form.

On our Dyno, the Type R showed an impressive 293.25 peak whp, and a peak of 282.84 lb-ft of torque. On average, the drivetrain loss is between 10-15% on front-wheel drive applications. However, the Civic Type R only showed around four-percent loss in both horsepower and torque.
