Aug 22, 2013 · A tosai can be 7 months old and another tosai can be 11 months old , and for that matter a nisai can be 13 months old and another nisai can be 23 months old . Just categorizing as tosai , nisai , sansai , without knowing the months can be a bit challenging. Best regards, Sanjay

Jul 21, 2009 · The tosai > ake nisai > nisai > ake sansai > sansai etc, etc, etc, is incredibly simple and has been answered a million times on this board and every other board. Tosai are Koi in their first year of life. 'Growing seasons' don't have a bearing on that, it's just a Koi that hasn't reached it's first birthday.

Mar 25, 2009 · With the Showa I picked in the previous thread I also picked out this Maruyama Kohaku. It is tosai at 30cm(11.8 inches). The shade of beni is more persimmon and not your typical Kagura Red. This one will be staying at Maruyama's mudpond. the Kiwa is so-so, but I do want to see if the kiwa will tighten up.

May 17, 2005 · yellow headed tosai I purchased two yellow headed tosai Shiro Utsuri thru local dealers in 2003. One from Omosako (one of the best Shiro Utsuri breeders in Japan) and other from Ogata. Please note that both have excellent Shiro on their bodies - But their heads were really "yellow". I bought the Omosako when it was still in Japan.
