Two types of music composition are explored: generation of oscillator tones, and triggering of pre-recorded audio samples. The synthesized oscillating tones have three timbres: sine, sawtooth and square wave. The pre-recorded audio samples are drum tracks.
For example, Baumeister and Tice (1984) found that subjects in a cognitive dissonance paradigm who had publicly performed the counter-attitudinal behavior internalized the presented attitude to a greater degree than subjects whose presentations were private.

Michael Peter Tice (born February 2, 1959) is a former American football tight end and coach. He played college football at the University of Maryland, College Park and spent 11 seasons playing in the National Football League (NFL) before spending 22 seasons as a coach, including four seasons as the Minnesota Vikings head coach.
