THX is a sound system certification program developed by Lucasfilm to ensure high-quality audio in theaters and home entertainment systems.

May 7, 2024 · The THX logo is an ode to harmony, order, and consistency. Shows the outlined framework, the system of rules and requirements developed by the company, which guarantees decent sound quality.

The THX acronym boasts a modified, unknown grotesque typeface, akin to Eurostyle, marked by uniform vertical and horizontal stroke thickness. In 2015, a font, “THX,” was crafted, mimicking the wordmark and introducing parallel lines above and below each letter.

After the THX logo zooms past the camera, the outlined rectangle appears slightly slimmed down with a different shine effect, the THX LaserDisc logo (with the trademark symbol moved to the right of the THX logo's bottom line) smoothly comes to a stop, and the red abyss fades out earlier.
