Dec 20, 2017 · For small saddles I bend the center bend at 30 degrees and the outside bends at 15 degrees. The multiplier is 3.9 for 15 degree bends. I add a little to distance between bends so the saddle doesn't rest right on whatever is being saddled. I also always bend 3 bend saddles from the center of the bend using marks that I put on the bender.

Measure from the bender handle to the center mark of the second bend. this measurement should, in the case of a 3 inch saddle, equal 3 inches. If the measurement is not 3 inches, add or lessen bend as needed. Bend center bend and check for dog leg.

Oct 1, 2023 · Mark the front of the shoe on the pipe &make a test bend to the 45 degree angle the take out of bender & measure from center of bend to frnt of shoe. That is your mark. If you deduct the 90 degree gain from the 90 degree takeup that is the amount you add when turning the pipe around in the bendef.

Oct 20, 2007 · That’s basically how I bend a 3 point saddle. I bend conduit almost every day and this seems to be the fastest and most consistent way to come up with near perfect saddles every time. The only difference is: After I laying out the saddle on the conduit in the typical way, keeping the bender pointing in the same direction.
