The Star has 9 Junior suites and 21 rooms each individually designed by Olga Polizzi. In the main hotel there are seven rooms, two are Junior suites and probably the nicest rooms in the hotel. The rest are all pretty, some with large bathrooms, and all with different looks and colours.

Given our recent acquisition of The Star at Alfriston, it made sense to bring our three hotels together, and make them more aligned. A great many of our guests are fervent fans of either Endsleigh or Tresanton; we would like them to try both hotels and now all three hotels!

The Star Alfriston is a lovely village set in the foot of the East Sussex Downs, on the banks of the Cuckmere river. The sea and the magnificent Seven Sisters chalk cliffs are within walking distance.

Set in the medieval village of Alfriston, The Star is a two-hour drive from London or trains from London Victoria take around 90 minutes and come into the nearby town of Polegate, from which Alfriston is a 10-minute taxi ride.
