Mar 14, 2019 · The Edit Text tool displays the other tools for working with text, but I am guessing the Select tool is what you are looking for. If it’s not showing, reset your toolbars with Alt+F8 to bring it back. You can also right-click the tool bar to hide or show other tools, including the Loupe tool, which does not show by default. ~ Jane

Apr 24, 2018 · If your Premiere doesn't have the new Type tool go to File > New > Title, click Ok, click the area you want to write and drag to form a box, type what you want inside it, edit the size of your text, fonts etc and then close this editing window.

Jun 25, 2022 · I found another thread with a similar problem where it was suggested to update and reboot. I've done both of those things and still don't seem to have a Text tool. I'm not wanting the Title tool - the newer Text tool. I'm a newbie so I might be missing something simple but I thought it was supposed to be below the magnifying glass.
