Jan 28, 2025 · I would like to have Sentry mode ON but not activate when at the HOME site. I (think) have set my HOME position, Sentry is set to ON, and I have checked the boxes that says to not activate at HOME but it seems to do so anyway. Is there a trick here I do not know?

Feb 28, 2015 · My screenshot is from a recent manual. Tesla Sentry Mode notifications and previews only became available in Tesla app updates 4.32.7 (released in May 2024) and 4.36.1 (August 2024.) Therefore, there was no mention of Sentry app notifications in any Owner Manuals prior to this past May, because those notifications didn’t exist.

Jan 6, 2024 · There has been people trying car doors in my neighbourhood recently. Sentry is pretty heavy on the battery so I don't want to turn it on all night. Is it possible to set up a schedule so that Sentry would be enabled between 2am and 5:30am?

Oct 12, 2018 · The app sends you a notification when it enables Sentry mode automatically, so there won't be any ambiguity. The 30 min disclaimer about the delay is more to set the expectations; in reality, it enables it much sooner.

Jun 17, 2019 · The car was never designed with Sentry mode in mind it was a software addon so when it is running the entire computing system capable (allegedly) of running FSD is fully powered up. Since Sentry Mode has been so wildly popular I can see future models coming with a co-processor to make running the cameras in Sentry mode more energy efficient.
