Terpal - BASF
Terpal® is a soluble concentrate containing two active ingredients - mepiquat chloride and 2-chloroethylphosphonic acid. The growth regulator can be used to protect yield quality in winter wheat, spring and winter barley, triticale and winter rye.
Terpal - BASF Growth regulators
Jan 31, 2025 · Terpal is a growth regulator which shortens and stiffens the straw of barley, winter wheat, triticale, and winter rye by reducing the length of internodes. Terpal will prevent or suppress early lodging during the vital crop heading stage and thus allow optimum fertiliser use for production of maximum yields in intensive growing systems.

Terpal® | BASF Crop Solutions New Zealand
Plant bioregulators, such as BASF’s Terpal, a plant growth regulator, help in modulating plant growth and development. Terpal shortens and strengthens the stem between internodes, enhancing the resistance of vigorous crops to lodging and facilitating a higher yield.

Terpal - BASF
TERPAL is suited for application by ground or aerial spraying. Advantages of treatment: 1. TERPAL improves the resistance of vigorous crops, to lodging. 2. Yield losses associated with lodging, straw and neck break are reduced. 3. Harvest is made easier. 4. Fertiliser inputs can be aimed at optimum yields, rather than be limited, to avoid ...

Apply as a MEDIUM spray, as defined by BCPC. Terpal is recommended for use as a component of an intensive growing system where provision of optimum basic and nitrogen fertilisation has been made together with appropriate disease control measures.
• Terpal can help prevent yield loss in wheat at high risk to lodging. • PGR use on spring barley is harder to justify, unless there is a risk of stem & neck break. • Only apply Terpal to barley that is free of any stresses before and after treatment. • PGRs may work better when applied during cloudy muggy weather.

Terpal - BASF Growth regulators
TERPAL is a plant growth regulator, which shortens and stiffens straw of barley, ryecorn and triticale. TERPAL is mainly taken up through the green parts of plants. TERPAL should only be applied to vigorously growing crops, which have an adequate supply of nutrient and moisture, and which are free from any stress prior to and following treatment.

Terpal proved effective and produced good quality plants. Moddus was found effective when applied as a drench at plug stage (0.5 ml/L) followed by Terpal (1.67 ml/L) + Stena (2.5 ml/L), but the foliage was pale, with poor zoning.
