KLR vs. 660 - Adventure Rider
Aug 5, 2010 · Whilst not the same as the Tenere, I wouldnt need to spend much to give it a good fuel range and it comes standard with good suspension and much less weight. 950 and 990 KTM's with fairly low km's and a few good mods can be …
2025 Tenere 700 | Page 3 | Adventure Rider
Nov 4, 2024 · I'm leaning towards buying a new (at least to me) bike for the coming season, and was set on a Tuareg 660. However, the new Tenere with these small changes has me thinking about just going all in and getting a 2025. We're getting the Sky Blue livery here out of the gate on the standard model which is nice :)

Nov 22, 2013 · So my '98 Tenere 660 has some carb issues. The previous owner apparently did a patch on the vacuum port, which has now fallen apart. I re-sealed it with some epoxy, but still. The bike doesn't feel right. I have found many posts mentioning you can swap the whole carb for a …
Tenere 660Z -Suspension recommendations - Adventure Rider
Jan 8, 2007 · Hi, I have a 2010 Tenere 660 and I am considering upgrading the rear Sachs for an Ohlins shock and also changing out the front springs for better control and feel both on and off the road. I have found some mixed views but seems to be more speculative than from the people who have actually made the change. Keen to share some views and or opinions.
XTZ660 jetting??..... again! | Adventure Rider
Jan 27, 2009 · Has anyone fooled with the jetting on their 660 Tenere. Mine seems to run rich. Even on the highway the spark runs black. It has the stock 130 Main (primary carb), and 165 main (secondary). Plus a 48 Pilot. The bike starts with choke, and then can be left to run immediatly without choke 1300RPM. So I know the pilot is too rich.
XT660Z Tenere weight reduction. - Adventure Rider
Nov 1, 2015 · Does anybody have any REAL experience, backed up by REAL stats on how far a 660 Tenere can be slimmed down? Obviously budget is a factor, so I'm not talking about one-off custom Titanium machined parts; i just want to hear from anyone that has thought the same as me and has tried to lighten the 660 as far as possible. Pics would be an added bonus!
Tenere Surging - Adventure Rider
Jul 28, 2009 · Hi Tenere 660 owners, As some of you know I am considering buying a new 660 Tenere and am just about convinced to buy one for myself as a new year present. I have but one question left, I have read that some Tenere's surge at lower speeds !!
NX 650 Dominator vs Tenere XT 660 Z - Adventure Rider
Mar 23, 2011 · Looks like Honda is out of this piece of market for good (no more Dominator, XR650 or Africa Twin) so i look elsewhere and new XT 660 Z Tenere looks like interesting bike for me. However second hand prices are still very high for single cylinder moto. So I have few questions for people who have experiences with both - Dominator and new 660 Tenere.
XTZ660 tenere???? - Adventure Rider
Jul 16, 2006 · I've also seen a few mid 80's tenere's still kicking around strong- which is a good indication of their endurance as I think the motor is the same. But if you do have $7000 to play with you could easily pick up a mint KLR650 with the 28l tank which would be a safe bet etc
