Since launch Black Ops 4 has caused my GPU to run hot enough to cause temp warnings to appear in the upper left of my screen. Sitting idle at a menu screen doing nothing at all I'll see warnings starting at 85°C and during a match I'm hitting 90 to 95°C.

Aug 10, 2018 · my gpu temps skyrocket when playing this game, 90 and upward, i literally have to run the fan at 100% and then they go down, only game to ever do this, most other times the temp is at around 70-75 max load.

In Bo4 the temperature will go up to 82. The Vram also starts off around 4gb but will grow into 6gb and thats when the temps go up. I'm playing 1080p and it doesn't seem to matter what settings I use.

Oct 26, 2024 · CoD BO6 uses AVX2 which can cause higher temperature spikes. No need to adjust your cooling setup or reapply thermal paste. You might run Cinebench for max. temperature. Anything below 90°C is fine.

My game keeps warning me when my gpu goes above 85c with the littel badge in the left corner. I have it turned off in the settings but it stills shows. Before anyone tells me to get better cooling, I use a reference R9 290x. This card goes up to 95c by design so its not a flaw in my card but more of a false alarm on the game's end. lol.

May 8, 2022 · Try running the game on your PC with the side panel off and see if the GPU temps drop to determine if it is an airflow issue. If you can, try pointing a table fan to blow cooler air into the side with the panel off to see if it drops further.
