TEFC vs. TEAAC Motors - Electric motors & generators engineering …
Nov 7, 2009 · HI all, I have a 2,000 HP motor to be procured and designed to be operating outdoors exposed to summer and winter time conditions. Outdoor ambient can be as cold as -45 Deg C (Canada). I initially specified TEFC as these are vertical motors and TEFC would offer more compactness against TEAAC...
TEFC vs TEAAC - Electric motors & generators engineering - Eng …
Feb 16, 2011 · Hi, I'm preparing data sheets for some big pumps, medium voltage (4160V), and motors between 200 and 1000 HP. I have my doubts about requesting all motors with a TEFC enclosure, or maybe a TEAAC enclosure could be an option for the big ones. Can somebody give me some recommendations when to...
TEAAC (4160 VAC) motor protection. - Eng-Tips
Sep 23, 2019 · In our plant we have medium voltage motor (4160 VAC) TEAAC, 2611KW which is the main motor and it is cooling by low voltage (480 VAC) blower motor. The way how we run these motors as below: -We have a logic to run the blower motor first then the main motor (2611KW) will run and if the blower motor trip or fail for any reason the main motor will ...

4160 vs 13200v Motor Cost & Size - Eng-Tips
May 6, 2005 · Can anyone give a brief explanation as to why there is such a price difference between a 4160v vs 13.2kv TEAAC 3600 rpm 5000hp Induction Motor? Also the Frame size is the same. What's the driving force which accounts for $500k vs $700k? Physical components which would account for this difference? Thanks in advance.
Air cooled v Water Cooled Motor - Electric motors ... - Eng-Tips
Mar 12, 2003 · Pro's & Con's in desert environments: TEAAC versus TEWAC TEWAC (water cooled) - Noise level is substantially lower than TEAAC design - typical cooling water temp is 25C, but have seen designs up to 35C using two or three radiators - Radiators can be offer with double walled piping. Need water analysis to determine best cooling tube material.
Motor stator failure - Mechanical engineering general discussion
Oct 8, 2010 · We decided to remove the stator and found the squirrel cage broken (se attachment "May2008 failure") the motor was a GE 591 HP, Model: 5K82094062501, Poles: 2, Voltage: 4000V, Frequency: 60 Hz, Phase: 3, Frame 8209S, Enclosure: TEAAC.
Motor selection - Electric motors & generators engineering - Eng …
Mar 29, 2011 · Based on the drawing the motor is a TEAAC (IC511) - here in North America, we call it a TETC (totally enclosed tube cooled) with the cooling tubes that are 360 degrees around the stator versus IC611 that has heat exchanger on top of motor frame. Motor looks to be Wound Rotor MOtor with the external fan on the DE side of the motor.
