The entertainment agencies should do more to separate the characters from the actors, and make it explicit that fanservice is the actors portraying a stage persona. TayNew Meal Date would probably be more entertaining if it was "Tay and New starring in PeteKao Meal Date"

TayNew, are kind of patching things up but they're not like they used to be and a big part of that is because of fans. Bl actors are not the characters they portray and a lot of fans have trouble differentiating between that. Bl fans went to the extreme and attacked New very serious gf.

Nov 22, 2022 · TayNew were from a time where it was uncomfortable (for me) to see actors being forced to like each other outside of their series. Them feuding is news to me, unfortunate that I was right about feeling tension even with the bits of their lives I was being fed.

But the running theory seems to be that New distanced himself publicly from Tay due to the ongoing hate aimed at him from his antis, as all of the start of their distance sort of coincided with the blowup with his girlfriend.
