I like the model overall, and I like seeing more female tau models, I just wish it wasn't an anniversary model. They did that with the necron lord model as well. Also, while I think the model is good overall, imo only the fire looks good out of the different elements.

He was 60 years old which the upper limit of the T'au lifespan so far. But before this story, I assumed the (depending on the source) 50-60 year average for a T'au lifespan was for other castes.

Aug 14, 2021 · Farsight: Crisis of Faith had a twin pair of a male and a female Ethereal attending to him and Farsight's fleet. They definitely do exist. Given that Tau gender dismorphism doesn't seem to be very strong (beside the different head slits), you could probably just take a regular Ethereal that isn't bare-chested and carefully cut the "I" into a "Y".

Jun 24, 2023 · In my opinion Farsight and Ethereals are following two ways of dealing with the warp. Both work but Farsight thinks that his works better. If the Ethereal would be mind controlling and so be enslaving all Tau, one of the two ways would clearly not work in Farsight's eyes and he would undertake more drastical steps against the Empire.

Jan 1, 2024 · We desperately need updates to our named Ethereal characters, both in terms of models and stories. A limited availability alternate sculpt for the generic ethereal has all the cost of a new Aun’shi but with 1/10th the value to us.
