The MS Chassis (Japanese: MSシャーシ, Emuesu Shāshi) is a Mini 4WD chassis introduced by Tamiya in November 2005. It was the first double-shaft motor-driven chassis, and it was marketed exclusively under the Mini 4WD PRO car line-up.

The 4WD TA06 MS chassis features the battery along its centerline and is powered by a distinctive Dual-Drive system which employs belt-driven front and gear-driven rear wheels. Apr 20, 2021 · Regular MS chassis is supposed to have a slightly better transmission and it's better for MS flex. MS-L is a bit lighter weight and it's easier to find interesting colors for the chassis. Both can work well. For tuned, MS-L with bumperless rear unit would be my choice.

For starting out, I highly suggest the MA and MS Chassis. Both are easy to maintain and customize. You will have less issues with the gearbox transmissions as others have mentioned and can focus more on the specific track settings when you are racing.
