Jan 18, 2024 · When set up properly, the Goblin is very easy and reliable to hand launch. The advantage to a plane like the Goblin is that it is fast and efficient because of its very low drag. Adding VTOL to a Goblin would take away every bit of its advantage You would actually be better off flying a normal configuration / slower speed plane at that point.

Feb 20, 2021 · I've used this combo on my Albabird twin for over a year and found it quite efficient - total current draw of around 10-12A at 45-50mph. So running 'over spec' props can often work well. My Goblin twin now has a pair of 1900kv motors (took out the 2500kv), so when the weather improves I'll see how that works out - 7x5 on 4S and 6x4 on 6S.

Jan 10, 2025 · The Goblin should be capable of more than that with these motors as I hit 140mph with a fat Albabird twin using 1900kv, 6S and 6x4. Not everyone wants to fly at these speeds, but it's just a bit of fun to see what's possible with power train that costs just a few $.

Aug 27, 2023 · I’ve been researching for a couple weeks and cannot find a direct comparison of the Heewing F01 (a.k.a.) Diatone Ripper compared with the Strix Nano Goblin. As an obvious, both planes can do high speeds and have similar wing sizes.
