Stark ｢シュタルク, Shutaruku?｣ is a human Warrior. After his village was attacked by Demons, he fled and became Eisen's apprentice. At Eisen's instruction, he joined Frieren's party as their vanguard.

Frieren travels with Fern while still learning magic. Along the way, she is joined by Stark, a young warrior boy Eisen had taught. Frieren's elven nature grants her an extremely long lifespan, causing her to experience years or decades as ephemeral.

Stark is the tritagonist of the adventurer manga and anime series, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. He is a boy who became a victim of an invasion that took place in his home village where it came under attack by demons.

Stark first meets Sein when Frieren pulled him out of a swamp in the Alt Woods. When Stark is bitten by a venomous snake shortly after, Sein instantly heals Stark with the Goddess's magic and saves his life.

During their decade-long quest to defeat the Demon King, the members of the hero's party—Himmel himself, the priest Heiter, the dwarf warrior Eisen, and the elven mage Frieren—forge bonds through adventures and battles, creating unforgettable precious memories for most of them.

Stark, who was too afraid to actually fight the dragon, spends the next three years in the village acting as their protector. His fear of the dragon is so great that he admits having considered fleeing and abandoning the village altogether by the time Frieren and Fern arrive at the village.
