Apr 15, 2020 · The Star Z-­70 SMG evolved from the Star Z-­62, and a variety of Spanish military and law enforcement units, including the Spanish Legion, used this SMG. The Z-­70 allows a solid support-­hand grip on the magazine well.

The Star Model Z62 is a blowback operated firearm which fires from an open bolt. Earlier variants came with a double crescent trigger for single and full auto.

After research and inspection, and new info, I have concluded that the Z70 should not be a unique gun, but is a simple caliber change to the Z-62, and the Z70/B is a fairly minor change in features. So, they are merged over there.

The Star Z70 is a Spanish submachine gun developed in the early 1970s by the Star Bonifacio Echeverria company. Designed as a modernized successor to earlier Star submachine guns, the Z70 combined elements of classic firearm engineering with more contemporary features.
