If you want just a pigeon that'll tolerate you or be less friendly in general, though still friendly, then pulling at 3 weeks would be better. Longer with mom the better.

I know racing fanciers need to cull non performing pigeons all the time, and if pigeon meat (squab or adult birds) is good , why not. I think there's a Ramesey episode where he shoots and prepares pigeon.

Should be the usual daily amount of water they drink but given in small doses (for an adult size pigeon, 6-7 ml, 3-4 times / day) as if too much water in crop, it can come up in mouth and enter trachea if crop is pushed accidentally.
