The Jagdpanzer 38 (Sd.Kfz. 138/2), originally the Leichter Panzerjäger 38 (t), known mostly post-war as Hetzer, was a German light tank destroyer of the Second World War based on a modified Czechoslovakian Panzer 38 (t) chassis.

In terms of protection, the big advantage of the Hetzer was its highly sloped casemate, with a 60 mm (2.36 in) thick plate on the front, which was inclined 60 degrees from the vertical, and therefore offered around 120 mm (4.72 in) of effective protection.

Light tank/SPAA: although most light tanks or SPAA cannot really do much to a Jagdpanzer 38 (t) from the front, they are usually equipped with fast-firing cannons/machine guns which is very useful to disable the Hetzer's tracks and/or cannon barrel.
