In addition to Sora getting slightly taller from 1->2->3, he doesn't slouch over as much throughout. I figured it signifies his proficiency and getting used to the weight of the Keyblade. It's a reasonable conclusion based on appearances, but Sora holds all of his weapons like that (toy sword and struggle bat), plus he has super-strength.

Flash Step: Sora quickly dashes to an opponent to attack, the stance in which he does so also allows to block attacks with the Keyblade on his path at the same time. Aerial Finish: When finishing an aerial combo against a single target, Sora swings to the target multiple times with his Keyblade while it's enhanced by multiple lines of light.

Mar 10, 2016 · everyone's talking about realism but Sora's stance is based around defense. This is even represented with his default keyblade, which has the Defender ability. Riku's sacrifices defense for offense. It's more open and aggressive.

Apr 16, 2021 · Sora's stance isn't strictly bad. While a stance with a sword in front is more common, a sword pointing behind you isn't unheard of. In fact, if Sora pointed his blade a little lower, it'd be a tail guard. It is less useful defensively but offers good offense and variability.

Nov 13, 2012 · One more thing, Soul Calibur's Siegfried Schtauffen's fighting stance looks kinda like Sora's stance, but flipped, probably because Sora is Right handed while Siegfried is left handed, but Siegfried's B+G throw attack sorta looks like Terra's Finish attack.

In KH 2 he had a pretty cool stance, especially when running around with the keyblade in battle. In 3D they're supposed to be younger again in the sleep realm so he has old stance. I'm sure in KH...

Why does Sora stand with his hands clasped behind his head in so many scenes? I can't recall seeing anyone in real life assuming that posture. Is it something Japanese punks do or something?
