Sonora (Spanish pronunciation: [soˈnoɾa] ⓘ), officially Estado Libre y Soberano de Sonora (English: Free and Sovereign State of Sonora), is one of the 31 states which, along with Mexico City, comprise the Federal Entities of Mexico.
