Sep 2, 2023 · Lots of people think it’s not worth it, but for me I did 4 years USMC, and I only attended SLTC because it got my CDL A during the course, and before I graduated I had a job lined up and apprenticeship followed.

Southeast Lineman Training Center, founded in 1999, is a vocational school offering training programs for people wanting to enter the linework industry. They offer two different programs, the Electrical Lineworker Program (ELP) and the Communications Lineworker Program (CLP), that are offered multiple times each year.

Oct 13, 2023 · I went to SLTC. I personally don’t think it’s worth it. It’s a 15 week course and uses up 10 months of your gi bill. Almost all of the recruiters they had come in were telecommunications companies. My friend went to Northwest Lineman College and had a lot better experience. He had 3 job offers at the end of school from electrical companies.
