These Trade Beads - African Skunk Beads are a must have for any bead enthusiast! These trade beads were originally made in Venice and brought Africa during the 18th and 19th centuries. Today skunk beads are a rare and special bead for the discerning crafter.

This is a lot of 4 Antique white and blue African Skunk Glass Beads. They are white with blue dots. These beads are 12mm rounds with 3mm holes. Created using the wound, or drawn glass production method.

On offer is a short strand of 10 Antique Venetian trade white heart beads dating to the 1800s. These beads are frequently referred to as "white skink" beads. The beads are old and have changed many hands, having traveled three continents between the 19th and 21st centuries.

Take a look at this pretty strand of Red & White Skunk beads, resembling traditional Venetian beads which are used in Africa for trade. The strand measures 24", with beads measuring approximately 14mm in diameter.

This is a strand of 11 Antique African red and white Skunk Glass Beads. They are a lovely bright red color with white dots. These beads are large 12mm rounds with large 3-4mm beading holes.

Also known as "eye" beads, these glass beads are said to resemble the pattern found on the spotted polecat or zorilla in Africa. Expect the spotting to be full coverage but in a randomized pattern and the black glass surrounding this fun design to be very opaque. A prized bead for striking designs!
