The Blue Grotto of Taormina is the largest of the sea caves that open into the rocky walls of Capo Sant’Andrea. It is about thirty meters deep, while the seabed reaches a depth of eighteen meters. The cave is called the Blue Grotto because of the light that, when it enters, colors the sea in shades ranging from turquoise to emerald green.
