My problem is that the guppies eat the food before the shrimp can even get to it. Some of it doesn't even make it all the way to the bottom of the tank before piggy guppy swallows it whole!

Jan 24, 2017 · No it is not bad for your shrimp. I feed my shrimp food which contains copper sulfate and they're all alive and have absolutely no adverse effects. I've about 50+ shrimp in my tank as of now. There is a lot of discussions about it but it's completely inaccurate to say copper sulfate will kill off your shrimp or do anything damaging to them.
