Shrek didn't exist, which means that Fiona was always a human (unless at night when the curse took place) when she was imprisoned in the castle. Nov 14, 2021 · In Shrek, she's still dealing with self-loathing at the start, which Shrek helps her to ogre-come (sorry, had to) by the end. In Shrek 2 she's forcibly returned to human form by the effects of the Happily Ever After potion, she's clearly uncomfortable the entire time and directly chooses to return to being an ogre at the end.
