While the color pallete is better now with Shintani, the biggest improvement is more natural rounded edges in conjuction with harsher angles. Characters look like flesh and blood people instead of robots made out of polygons.

All of his forms seems to have the skinniness of Shintani Super Saiyan God (wich make the SSG look normal among all of Goku’s form whereas it’s supposed to be the only skinny form). But we can see by his settei (character sheet) that Goku gain muscles between his base form and SSJ/SSB forms.
