May 24, 2021 · Vet said it is completely normal to have a lump underneath the skin after surgery. This is a typical reaction of the muscle layer to the sutures as it dissolves. The incision is healing well but we need to still keep an eye to our playful kitten for another week then come back again for another post op checkup.

I think an age thing, 8 week old kittens are so active. Our vet finally had to keep her, and cage her for almost two weeks, so that she could heal. she had a really hard time.

Oct 27, 2017 · New update: so the seroma just won't stop growing. We took her back in today, and they said that she's running a fever now too. They put a pressure bandage on to help with the swelling, and gave me a course of antibiotics. I'm taking her back on Wednesday (day after tomorrow,) which would've been the normal 1 week checkup for her spay.

She was spay on Aug 14th/08. Two days post op she developed a large seroma after a week the seroma did not decrease in size and she was diagnosed with an incisional hernia. My vet told me that he felt it was caused by the seroma breaking down …

May 31, 2014 · Hi we have a 5 month old Hemi (Faith) who had surgery. She also has a seroma after surgery and she broke open a stitch day one! We bought her a Suitical and that allows a kitten to go to the bathroom and they can’t lick their structures or belly. The seroma is going growing smaller that sometimes happens in surgery.

You want to keep all cats calm after a spay for 7-10 days. But, typicallly, you can remove activity restrictions after that time. Be sure and discuss activity with your vet if you still have concerns.
