Nov 19, 2015 · Hey, all. My Dad is looking for a good piece of glass in the $900 to $1,000 range. Crisp, durable and especially, good in dim light. He'd like to stay below the 50mm objective size; 42mm would be optimal. I told him to let me check on here before he orders because advise is always solid. Is there better than the Z3 in that range?

Jun 15, 2011 · The scope seemed well made and very durable, but the turrets left a lot to be desired and the glass while decent left some to be desired. The biggest issue I had with the glass was when shooting in the snow while the sun was out I got a lot of chronic abrasion which looked like blue flare coming off of the snow.

Jul 25, 2010 · Best glass I have ever looked and used myself in varying conditions is a 5-25 S&B PM II with Holland's ART reticle. One time at a 1K match in Missoula, MT I saw three of my bullet holes (140 grain A-Max/.264 diameter) during the "sighter" period-I couldn't hardly believe it. Then the conditions changed and I couldn't see them anymore.
