Also, bear in mind that alot of these movies can fit into multiple categories, but I tried to pick the closest/best fit IMO, and trying to keep it limited to 5 per category. Jun 25, 2022 · Psycho, Halloween, and The Shining are in the top 10, so I’ll give you that. Some of the movies you ranked #11 to 20 would make it in my own top #10. Regardless, it’s not a bad list, and most of the movies you listed are actually quite good.

I like fast-paced movies with a lot of action and gore. The slow burns don't really do it for me. My guilty pleasure movies are Vicious Fun, Mayhem, The Hunt, The Killing Room, Day Shift, Renfield, and You're Next. I think Atterados (Terrifed) was a perfect movie.

October is upon us once more and I’m trying to compile a list of new Halloween/ scary movies to watch and add to the my list of favorites. My go to movies around Halloween include Halloween, trick or treat, the shining, psycho, monster house, sleepy hollow, beetlejuice, Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein.
