As for positioning, it wouldn't settle lower if your lights and flow were inadequate there. It will move to where it has sufficient light and flow. The main concern is that it might end up in a spot you can't even see it.

Specific gravity will barely increase, to 1.0332. Thats less than a 1% increase in specific gravity from that of normal seawater (1.0264). This looks like a tiny difference, in terms of raw numbers, but its not.
