The Shadow advanced class fulfills the role of melee DPS; The Shadow is capable of wearing light armors, and the advanced class is distinguished by the ability to wield a double-bladed lightsaber. The most important ability for the Jedi Shadow is Willpower.

Utilize a shadow technique, giving your melee attacks a 50% chance to deal internal damage and build 1 Breaching Shadow. Breaching Shadows stacks up to 3 times and increases the damage dealt by your next Force Breach.

The Serenity Shadow is ever mindful that the Force ebbs and flows, and uses this knowledge to great advantage. Able to wield the Force against multiple targets while wresting vitality from the enemy, the Serenity Shadow can even stand up to opponents in close combat.

Wielding double-bladed Lightsabers, Shadows embrace the synergy between melee and Force combat, enabling them to strike down enemies of the Order with deadly efficiency. Masters of stealth, these Shadows use positional attacks and surprise to defeat foes.

Both damage specs are great. Aesthetically, I prefer Hatred/Serenity on my assassin, and infiltration/deception on my shadow.

Dec 2, 2012 · With the Shadow, it’s more of a martial priest who uses the Force to become invisible and avoid unnecessary fighting, rather than a “dirty fighter”. I can appreciate the difference and it aligns well with the Jedi as a whole and their goal of galactic peace.
