Nov 16, 2015 · FWIW, I have both a Ninja300 and a SV650S. The Ninja300 is more fun/agile in the really twisty stuff and more than gives the SV all it can handle. The forks and shock on the 300 are almost the same thing that is on the OEM SV, so you'd have to make the same suspension changes to improve either machine.

Since I would likely be replacing the forks with those from a GSXR, using a GSXR body kit, and replacing the rearsets, is there any other reason to go with a SV650S over an SV650...

Dec 30, 2022 · I made a battery pack out of Li-ion cells for my old GS500F 10 years ago and it worked great. When I totaled that bike, I put the old lead-acid in and saved my own battery for future use. It didn't fit into the SV650S and I didn't have time to make a smaller pack so I just bought an off-the shelf Li-ion battery.

May 20, 2023 · I want to adjust rear shock preload on my gen3. I know how to adjust it, but I am not sure what I need to take off of the bike to get the spanner in the correct position on the ring to turn it. Any advice from those who have "been there" is greatly appreciated. RJ
