  1. STG 58 - The FAL Files

Jan 23, 2024 · I made the mistake of modifying a nice STG-58 back in early 2000’s when I was stupid. Thank God I didn’t do anything permanent. The Austrian Stoll device on the STG is a flash suppressor, wire cutter, and it supposedly dampens vibrations. STG’s …

  2. SOLD: Arizona Response STG-58 Rifle, STG-58 Parts (***FINAL …

Jan 23, 2017 · ARS (Arizona Response) built STG-58 in 2000. Like new condition. Built on a R1A1 Imbel Receiver and matching numbers on the receiver, lower receiver, bolt and carrier. I see a few 922R parts-flash hider, hand guards and grip as US made parts. I haven't dug much deeper. Steyr Proofed Barrel/bore looks new. Rifle came from a 3 FAL collection.

  3. STG-58 and G1 slings - The FAL Files

Apr 2, 2008 · nwobhm/Chris, Only the Austrian Army used the STG slings on their SSG-69 P1's, All other commercial Steyr SSG-69's used canvas slings, I still have one SSG-69 P1 26 inch H-Bar left and I've had all the SSG-69's with Brown stocks, Green stocks and Black stocks in all models, My current one has the Black police stock with the UIT rail underneath ...

  4. Century Stg58 on PAC Imbel Receiver Price Check - The FAL Files

Aug 5, 2012 · Century's are a crap shoot, but you have about $900 to $1000 worth of parts there, provided they are in good shape especially the barrel. Real StG (Steyr) parts are worth a premium. The HTS may be Century, check for a "C" stamped on the parts. Possibly the furniture is from Penquin and would add 3 more to 922 compliance count.

  5. STG-58 - The FAL Files

Jul 15, 2021 · Great Imbel receiver. You may want to check the throat. My first Fal was a similar Century STG-58 on Imbel and it seemed to have had the throat reamed out. Supposedly some the throats were crushed when being removed from original receivers so they reamed them out.

  6. First FAL, STG58. What I think I know and some questions.

Oct 13, 2024 · The Type II Receiver may not be correct for that serial no. range, but it's what I used on my matched numbered StG because, I like it that way. I believe the DSA Muzzle thingy is silver-soldered, but I have no experience with the removal of such and can offer no advise. Some folks grind out the slots of the DSA device.

  7. K98 leather sling on STG-58 - The FAL Files

Oct 24, 2002 · Anyone try making a look a like STG-58 sling from a K98 sling? Since originals at a decent price are long gone looking for a practical option for a leather sling that looks and works decent.

  8. How hot do G1 and STG 58 handguards really get? - The FAL Files

Jun 27, 2006 · STG 58 hand guards do get hot, but it takes more than a couple of mags. Of course I'm a P7 cultist, so my opinion may be a bit skewed. Ever try a slim line forend on a G3/HK91? Same deal. It's a trade off based on how you want your weapon to feel. I can't imagine that the Belgin forends are much better, but I may be wrong.

  9. STG 58 Flash Hider Opinions - The FAL Files

Jun 14, 2013 · Today I heated up and removed the soldered on cheapo DSA brake that was on my STG 58 when I purchased it. Now, I am kinda a purist when it comes to my firearms and like to keep them as close to original as possible. That being said, I'm …

  10. New Owner-Problem, bolt over round, STG-58, Entreprise Type 3

Mar 18, 2017 · Take a look at the bolt on the left side as it engages the round. This side is where the cut is for the ejector. Like STG_58-guy said you may get off with just a bolt change. I have had this exact problem and others here solved with a different bolt. If you exchange the bolt be sure to check the head space. Try a different magazine then the bolt.
