Anyone use SSF-6 Silver Solder? - Homebrew Talk
Dec 27, 2012 · With SSF-6, what caught my attention, was the 1150F melting point, and the 70,000 PSI strength. How PSI relates to tensile or shear strength, I don't know. If I ever get around to trying SSF-6, I'll be sure to post the details here.
Where to buy Harris Stay-Brite #8 solder in Canada?
Jan 5, 2016 · I know it will hold but the joint won't be as strong and durable as with higher silver content solder. I'd rather do it once and well... I'm actually even considering the SSF-6 from MuggyWeld (since at this price they are truly mugging you...) for brazing but it's pretty expensive and I'm worried about heat stressing the stainless....
