Mar 8, 2012 · A 223 or even 5.45 SKS isn't real likely. The SKS was obsoleted by 1960 -- or 1966 for the Yugos. In Russia, once the AKM happened, it was over. Stamped full auto against milled semi? Even in a socialist paradise, labor and machine time has a cost.

Feb 1, 2013 · Two of the reasons the 7.62x39 SKS is inaccurate are .311 barrel diamter and the relatively slow rifle bullet. The .300 whisper is accurate because it is a defined .308 and they use better barrels. I think a 3200 FPS .223 from an SKS would be an accurate gun.
