  1. Anyone research SFF cases for APU (NO GPU)? - [H]ard|Forum

Mar 15, 2017 · ITX isn't really that bulky (<7"x7"). It's the GPU card that really drives case size. For an APU, I am only potentially interested in new AMD Raven Ridge successor to the A10-7850 or similar, but with Zen CPU cores and Vega GPU.

  2. Need advice on powering a higher end gpu in a hp elitedesk 800 …

Mar 25, 2004 · I recently picked up an hp elitedesk 800 g3 sff. It has an i7-7700, 16gb of DDR4 ram, a 180watt psu (*note the psus in these units are proprietary) and I replaced the smaller ssd that came in it with a new crucial 500gb nvme ssd. I also added an evga gt 1030 gpu (the newer variant with ddr5.)

  3. SFF Case for mini-ITX GPU/MB - [H]ard|Forum

Dec 6, 2014 · Panel vents would be as close as possible to both the bottom and side of the GPU, leaving just enough room for cables and filters. PP05-E flex cables would tuck in behind the mobo and then back up from under the 6x 2.5" drive bay. Would like the front panel to look like Aiboh's Nova with hidden slots for PSU intake.

  4. 8700g, 8600g, and 8500g Reviews - [H]ard|Forum

Jan 29, 2024 · Still, the 8700g is a tough sell at $330. I'm betting the 5700x3d could perform at a similar CPU level at $240 leaving $90 for an SFF gpu such as the AMD 6400. Sure, it would be AM4, but that is still a capable platform. The 8600g fairs a bit bettter. Looking at some 8600g gaming numbers, it is not far behind the 8700g at $230, at least in gaming.

  5. Best SFF GPU? - [H]ard|Forum

Sep 22, 2012 · Anyone got any opinions on the best SFF GPUs? I also need a good SFF CPU-cooler for the ASUS P8H77-I This is all for a custom case I am building, so just shoot them at me and I will know if I will be able to fit it in or not :)

Dec 5, 2015 · Ok I changed my mind and ended up grabbing an Asus Geforce ITX 970 card and after power measurements with my Core i7-4790K + motherboard I am on the fence but will probably grab an SFX-450W (due to the better capacitors being used) over the 600W. Asus must have done something special with...

  7. OEM gaming SFF - [H]ard|Forum

Mar 30, 2024 · Once the wattage is sorted, the next big issue is heat. These little boxes with even 65w CPU's and 70w GPU's generate a bunch of heat and these SFF cases rarely have enough cooling capability. The CPU cooler you have may be sufficient to keep it from throttling. But, putting an axial fan GPU in that case can reduce performance.

  8. Open air vs blower GPU for SFF - [H]ard|Forum

Feb 20, 2014 · The best GPU air cooling solutions around lately are vertical fin heatpipe designs (eg Windforce 3, Tri-X) that exhaust heat vertically (assuming a horizontal motherboard) mostly upwards, some down. Considering the majority of SFF buyers are more noise conscious than your average enthusiast I'm amazed that none of the small case builders have ...

  9. SFF Case for mini-ITX GPU/MB | Page 2 | [H]ard|Forum

Dec 13, 2014 · Temperatures: I tested it with 84W i5-4670K (with stock Intel cooler) and 170W GTX 760 MINI using prime95 and 3DMark. I cannot remember exact numbers for cpu, but it was no problem. GPU peaked 77C at 62rpm fand speed. Noise: Under full load, to my personal standards not very good., that GPU was far from quiet .

  10. SFF and your GPU won't fit? - [H]ard|Forum

Aug 11, 2004 · I have a SN95G5 and a leadtek 6800 (OCZ 3200 plat rev 2 anda a64 3500) and am toying with where to go with the design. To retain a proper SFF system I think all components must remain within the rig cause it must be packed to lan's with ease. I see some pics out there but there must be more? Not...
