Jan 25, 2022 · I prefer SD textures. My PC can run HD textures with high FPS, but it starts overheating after like 1 hour of playing. So i just play on SD to not damage my PC. Also with SD textures there is no vegetation and so on, so i can even see better. The only downgeade is, that some textures do not display correctly in SD mode i think.

HD's for people with good computers and want to run WoT on max graphics. Otherwise, there really isn't a point in spending the extra time downloading the client since you won't see the difference anyways.

Jan 4, 2017 · The SD client uses the SD models and SD textures, so the terrain and tanks look like shit. If I weren't playing on a potato, I'd much rather have the HD client running min settings (no post-effects, etc.) than the SD client just for the enhanced textures.
