This fine garment is a Warsaw-tailored M36 style open collar tunic in gabardine, for an SS-Sturmbannführer of Sicherheitsdienst- SD. The tunic shows fine patina to the material, with no damage or mothing. The insignia are classic SD colored farb on the shoulderboards, with a stunning bullion sleeve eagle tailored stitched to the left sleeve.

This SD tunic is a great example of SS textile / manufacturing, in that it is styled after the SS-M37 type tunic, with full lining and M37 style size and maker marking. The boards are early sewn-in type piped for SD–and very high quality.

Allgemeine SS SD Officer Service Tunic and Breeches-This is for an officer, leutnant in the Wehrmacht but in this case an Untersturmführer in the Allgemeine SS. The SD is the Sicherheitsdienst, or Security Service (of the Reichsführer SS). This is a privately tailored example in black trikot wool.

Oct 13, 2022 · This SD officer wears a standard four-pocket with a dark green stand-and-fall collared officer tunic favored by the Waffen-SS. The collar insignia is a standard SD patch, and the boards are early Waffen-SS with Police piping.

Mar 1, 2023 · The jacket does appear to be a real postwar police tunic. The wartime Sommer style Pol. (Schutzpolizei) tunics had closed collars while the postwar tunics had open collars like this. Interior construction will help sort out the time period of the tunic itself.

This tunic is a reproduction SS M32 tricot/gabardine black tunic worn by a SS-Oberfuhrer (Senior Leader) with the SD branch (intelligence agency) of the SS. The jacket size is a 48 chest.

Originally the tunic was made specially for Scottish soldiers with the cut away but as the Great War of 1914 to 1918 progressed they were issued with a standard tunic and had them tailored. Lightly used in a church play in Florida to re-enact the Christmas truce of 1914. SIZES: 42 and 44.

The tunic is the four pocket, open collar style in field gray wool that was adopted by the SD as a less sinister alternative to the black SS uniform. The collar carries the blank right side tab which was worn by the SD instead of the standard SS runes tab.
